Pediatric surgery is a branch of general surgery dedicated to children, from newborns to adolescents. Pediatric surgeons diagnose and treat childhood surgical conditions as well as congenital anomalies in babies, and they complete six years of specialist training after medical school. They also work together with pediatricians, neonatologists and pediatric anaesthesiologists to keep every step of treatment safe and child-friendly.

Children are not simply small adults, so anaesthesia, surgical technique and recovery are all adapted to their age and development. Families travelling to Turkey are guided through each step, with time to ask questions and clear instructions for care at home after the operation.
